Windows Antivirus Pro or WindowsAntiVirusPro 2009 is pretty much similar to Total Security 2009 and other fake anti virus products. It shows fake scan reports and asks the victim to buy some product to remove those viruses and trojans. And many people will be tricked into buying this fake product.

Remove Windows Antivirus Pro

You can use SmitFraudFix to remove this virus from your PC. Procedure to use SmitFraudFix is given here.Or you can do it manually. Here is the procedure to remove Windows Antivirus Pro.

First of all open Task Manager and end processes with name WindowsAntivirusPro.exe, WindowsAntivirusProUpdate.exe and svchast.exe.
Now go to C:\Program Files and look for the folder with name Windows Antivirus Pro. Select that folder. Press Shift+Delete and then hit enter.
Now navigate to C:\Windows and search for svchast.exe and delete this file.
Open regedit. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Windows Antivirus Pro. Delete this key.Press F3 and search for WindowsAntivirusPro, Antipro2009 and WinAntiVirusPro. Delete all the entries that you find.

By now the virus must have left your system. Now download Kaspersky Antivirus 2009 or 2010 and install it on your machine to stay protected from such nasty wares. Here is the download link.
