Firebug for Google Chrome

As every one knows Google Chrome 4 is the first stable version of it which has support for extensions. And lately most of the popular Firefox addons are made available for Google chrome. If you are a Web Designer or developer then you must be knowing the popular Firefox add-on ”FireBug” .

Firebug is an extension for Firefox, but what happens when you need to test your pages in Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari?

The solution is Firebug Lite, a JavaScript file you can insert into your pages to simulate some Firebug features in browsers that are not named “Firefox”.

Firebug Lite creates the variable “firebug” and doesn’t affect or interfere with HTML elements that aren’t created by itself.

Set a Video as Desktop backgorund in Windows 7

Windows Vista did allow its users to set any video clip, animated image or slide show as desktop background. But this feature is not there in Windows Vista’  successor Windows 7.  If you are missing this feature in Windows 7 then here we have one small patch to enable dreamscene in Windows 7.

You can download this patch from here.

After downloading and installing the patch, just right click on the video or image you want to set as desktop background  and select “Set as Desktop Background”.

Thus you can set any video or slides as desktop background in Windows 7. The only problem is this patch is for only 32-bit systems. To use this patch Windows Aero has to be turned on.
